Fire Door Carpenter/Joiner – Contract Role

Location: London Borough of Camden
Contract Duration: 6 months – 1 year
Hours: 36 per week
Rate: £27.45 per hour
Vehicle: Van provided (Full UK driving licence required)

Key Responsibilities:

Installation of new fire doors to meet current safety standards
Upgrading and repairing existing fire doors and frames
Fitting of electrical enclosures and fire-rated plasterboard
Undertaking fire stopping works in accordance with regulations
Ensuring compliance with British Standards related to fire safety
Maintaining high-quality workmanship and documentation
Liaising with tenants and stakeholders to ensure strong customer relationships
Keeping accurate records and performing minor administrative tasks as required

Requirements:

Proven experience in fire door installation and maintenance
In-depth knowledge of fire door components and fire stopping practices
Understanding of relevant British Standards
Valid Full UK Driving Licence

Excellent attention to detail and quality control
Strong communication and customer service skills
