Catering and Culinary Skills Lecturer

We are seeking a Culinary Skills Lecturer to deliver City and Guilds culinary skills courses at Levels 1, 2, and 3. This role requires a dedicated professional who can effectively manage teaching responsibilities across two campuses. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling both practical and theoretical aspects of culinary education, catering to classes of up to 25 students.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Teach City and Guilds culinary skills courses at Levels 1, 2, and 3 to students.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging and informative lessons that meet curriculum standards.
  • Manage classroom and kitchen environments effectively, ensuring a safe and conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Work 37 hours per week over 5 days, split between our Orpington campus (3 days) and our Plumstead campus (2 days).
  • Assess student progress, provide feedback, and encourage positive learning outcomes.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of student performance, attendance, and assessments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified to teach City and Guilds culinary skills at Levels 1, 2, and 3.
  • Must be on the DBS update service.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage large classes in both kitchen and classroom settings.
  • All professional references must be in place.
