Chef Lecturer!

Morgan Hunt are working with a fantastic college in theEast Londonarea, together, we are seeking to appoint a talented, highly motivated, and enthusiastic Chef Lecturer to join them. Job Title:?Chef Lecturer Location:? East London Hours:?Flexible Start:?ASAP or Sept Length of contract:?on going Role SpecificResponsible for the development and delivery of accredited and nonaccredited catering courses at pre-entry, entry & level 1&2. o Conduct hands-on culinary instruction of students using existing curriculum o Develop lesson plans based on the existing curriculum o Administer written and practical tests o Document and report each student's ability to comprehend, perform, and retain practical techniques o Work one-on-one with students to ensure comprehension of lessons and information o Recruit new and maintain existing relationships with chefs for weekly volunteer opportunities o Oversee the various ordering, set-up, and cleanup needed for lessons and guest chef presentations EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience of teaching and assessing in a college/vocational environment with a recognised teaching qualification e.g. PGCE, DTLLS or Cert Ed Post 16 or commitment to work towards
• Hold relevant catering qualifications. Hold a food hygiene certificate at level 2.
• Hold appropriate verification and assessor qualifications up to level 3
• Good working knowledge of catering related qualifications, awarding body procedures and the ability to match resources to learner needs
• Excellent organisational skills, computer and written skills
• Good assessment and diagnostic skills
• Good communication skills
• To be a team player and have the ability to work on own initiative
• To undergo training as part of an agreed performance review system
• Positive attitude to equality and diversity and ability to demonstrate a commitment to all learners
