Venn Group have partnered with a prestigious NHS Trust based in London, to recruit a Head Chef on a 3 month contract.

You would be responsible for managing all operational aspects of the catering service in the restaurant on a day-to-day basis including the distribution of all food cooked and provided. Responsible for maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies and duty of care to customer and colleagues.

Business is open Monday to Sunday, including evenings. You will be working in a team of 50 to provide staff & patient ward dining, hospitality services, and a range of catering services including tea & coffee, breakfast, lunches, canapés events and drinks receptions.

On a day-to-day basis you will plan, organise, and control the busy catering operations ensuring a successful and efficient service is always provided.

Rate: ÂŁ25.84 per hour Umbrella Location: LondonDuration: 3 monthsHours: 37.5 hours a week

Key Duties:

• Manage the kitchens, the kitchen team and all related food production• To produce food in a timely fashion to the highest standard and ensuring a smooth service to customers • To ensure that all appropriate ingredients are available and to identify shortages, reorder and source ingredients• Assist in weekly and monthly stock-takes as directed• To understand and comply with statutory health, hygiene and safety, quality standards including COSHH and HACCP ensuring all tasks are carried out in accordance these standards• Plan and coordinate staff rotas
