As a Pastry Chef at KUDU collective you'll be responsible for creating unforgettable pastries and desserts. Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, youll play a key role in ensuring our guests experience exceptional, high-quality sweets that will melt our guest mouths.
Key Responsibilities:
Kitchen Operations & Food Preparation
- Support the preparation of our beautiful desserts.
- Ensure all pastries meet the restaurant's quality standards for taste and presentation.
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of any shortages or replenishment needs.
- Maintain proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
- Ensure consistency in texture, taste, and appearance of all pastries, adhering to KUDU collective standards.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during service.
- Communicate any special pastry requirements or menu changes.
- Communicate effectively with other sections of the kitchen to maintain a cooperative work environment
Health & Safety Compliance
- Report any accidents or kitchen equipment malfunctions immediately to the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, particularly after your shift, to ensure a safe working space for the team.
- Ensure consistent quality control of all food being prepared, ensuring it meets both the Executive Chefs standards and the restaurants vision.
- Keep the cool rooms, dry stores, and refrigeration tidy, ensuring all products are well-organised and stored correctly for the next day's ordering.
- Ensure all food items are labelled and dated correctly to ensure quality and food safety.
- Maintain immaculate personal hygiene and wear a clean and correct uniform at all times
