Are you passionate about food and inspiring young minds? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technician to join our dynamic team, a vibrant and inclusive secondary school based in the heart of Newham.

About the Role:As our Food Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of engaging and practical food and nutrition lessons. You will assist teaching staff by preparing ingredients, maintaining equipment, ensuring health and safety standards, and helping to create a positive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and organise materials and ingredients for practical lessons

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised food technology room

  • Support students during practical lessons under the guidance of the teacher

  • Monitor stock levels and order supplies when necessary

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and food hygiene regulations

About You:

  • Experience in a similar role or a strong interest in food technology

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • A proactive approach and a commitment to supporting young people

  • Food hygiene certification (desirable, but training can be provided)
