We're working with an Insurance organisation to find their Enterprise Architect, who will be highly technical to help to guide the strategic direction of a leading organisation's technology landscape. This role is pivotal in shaping how the business leverages technology to deliver long-term value, optimise its application estate, and manage risk intelligently.
They have a number of business units who are always proposing new toolsets or systems for their area. So you would be the person that helps resolve the bottleneck in terms of prioritising solutions, be the design authority, leading governance forums with various stakeholders, present results, assessing internal capability vs demand etc. This would be to run their EA Office (Enterprise Architecture Office), not just a specific programme. We're looking for experience with Platforms / Service Management / Infra / Digital / Data / DevOps etc.
Key Responsibilities-
IT Landscape Analysis: Evaluate the current IT environment to identify opportunities for investment, consolidation, or decommissioning. Recommend modernisation efforts aligned with business outcomes and best practices.
- Techincal Leadership:Experience with Platforms / Infra / Digital / Data / DevOps etc
- Strategic Roadmapping:Partner with senior stakeholders to develop multi-year technology and business capability roadmaps aligned to strategic goals, adapting them in response to changing priorities and industry trends.

Architecture Governance: Maintain and enhance the enterprise architecture repository, providing meaningful insights and visualisations for decision-makers across business and IT functions.

Market Awareness: Monitor technology and market trends, assessing their potential impact on enterprise architecture and advising accordingly.

Standards & Communication: Contribute to the development of architectural standards and communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships across business units and technology teams, adapting communication styles to influence, engage, and align diverse audiences.

Enterprise Collaboration: Foster alignment in architectural practices, frameworks, and communities across divisions to drive consistency, reduce risk, and enhance value delivery.

Customer-Centric Focus: Ensure all solutions and systems are designed to support fair customer outcomes, in line with customer experience and regulatory standards.
