A leading London university is seeking an experienced IT Operations Managerto take ownership of their core academic and administrative IT systems. This is a hybrid role requiring three days a week on-sitein central London.

Applicants must have prior experience working within a UK university or higher education environment.

The Role

You’ll lead the day-to-day operations and support of key university systems, including:

  • CRM (e.g. Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics)

  • LMS (e.g. Moodle, Canvas)

  • SRS (e.g. SITS, Banner)

  • ERP (e.g. Oracle, Unit4, Workday)

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced academic environment and can engage with both technical teams and academic stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain mission-critical systems (CRM, LMS, SRS, ERP)

  • Lead a small team and work with third-party vendors

  • Ensure smooth service delivery, incident management, and system performance

  • Collaborate with internal departments to support digital transformation initiatives

  • Monitor compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements

  • Contribute to strategic planning and operational improvements

About You
  • Significant IT operations experience in a UK university or higher education institution

  • Strong technical understanding of CRM, LMS, SRS, and ERP systems

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a complex environment

  • ITIL or similar service management framework experience (desirable)
