We have an opportunity to join us as a Senior Information Manager, based from our Wembley or Basingstoke office. 

The role

The Senior Information Manager will assist in the day to day management of the Building Information Team to deliver a future-proofed Digital Building Information Strategy and Implementation Strategy for SNG. The Role will support the creation of the BIM, COBie, information exchange protocols and technology across all new and existing development projects, and portfolio holdings.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing information requirements including the capability and capacity assessments
  • Creating and maintaining strong working relationships with the Regional Development Teams enabling the Building Information Team to maintain a high profile within Development and Property Teams supporting the delivery of requirements in a timely manner.
  • Drive the culture change for our consultants and development partners for information creation through 3D BIM Models, IFC and COBie, and use of digital information exchanges.
  • Ensure that all project stakeholders have access to accurate and up-to-date information, facilitating efficient design, construction, and facility management processes.
  • Working with external information managers, monitoring that they are delivering their scope.
  • Providing training and knowledge sharing to colleagues about information management good practice.

What we need from you

  • Strong knowledge of Information Management, Data Management, Architecture, Engineering, BIM or Building Sciences, Computer Sciences, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience in BIM management, with a strong background in residential construction or development.
  • External BIM/COBie Certification by an approved and recognised Industry provider e.g., Operam Academy, ICE, BSi, BRE, buildingSMART.
  • Advanced knowledge of UK BIM Framework and associated standards such as ISO19650 series, ISO 17412 & ISO16739
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and related tools.
  • Practical knowledge and skills using the COBie data schema and the ability to validate the data in the COBie format.
  • Knowledge of the development design and construction process throughout the lifecycle of a building, preferably in the housing sector and design and build contracts.
  • Ability to manage several stakeholders with varying priorities and interests and successfully unite a team towards one goal: good information management.
