This is an exciting new opportunity to work in a very fast-paced, flexible and dynamic environment. You will manage a team and report directly into the Chief Analytics Officer working closely with senior management.
THE COMPANY
This company is a significant financial service offering personal loans to customers who have trouble when applying for credit from their banks. The company is looking to increase their data science capabilities to support growth through enhanced models, AI, and experimentation.
THE ROLE
You will be doing the following daily:
- Lead and cultivate a team of Data Scientists.
- Create and deploy credit models, mostly scorecards, working across unsecured consumer lending products.
- Identify new opportunities to improve data and analytic approaches.
- Work closely with the wider analytics team to improve the overall worth of the portfolio by introducing new data sources, incorporating AI capabilities, improving modelling strategies, and scoring cut-offs.
- Work closely with credit reference agencies and their data.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to successfully deliver projects and contribute to the overall change agenda.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous management experience.
- STEM based degree.
- Interest in embracing AI and helping to identify potential AI projects across the business.
- Experience using SQL and Python.
- Experience developing, and optimising scorecards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment.
