Role Description:Our client, a reliable and well-known name in the FM sector, is excited to announce they are looking to welcome a Business Development Manager to join their Team in London. Our client delivers professional, bespoke cleaning services to the public and private sectors including offices, educational institutions and hospitals. As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities in the commercial contract cleaning sector. You will be required to generate leads, build relationships and convert opportunities into long-term contracts. The ideal Business Development Manager will have excellent proven experience in a similar role either in FM or the commercial cleaning sector and will have a strong understanding of the commercial cleaning industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to build and grow within an established commercial cleaning company, delivering exceptional services to its clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research potential clients in target markets, including offices, schools, healthcare facilities, retail and industrial premises
  • Develop a pipeline of opportunities through networking, cold-calling, attending industry events and leveraging digital marketing platforms
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients to understand their needs and position the company’s services effectively
  • Conduct regular client meetings and presentations to showcase service offerings and ensure client satisfaction
  • Prepare tailored proposals, quotations and tender documents in collaboration with the operations and finance teams
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing, ensuring profitability and compliance with company policies
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities and market dynamics to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve business growth targets
  • Work closely with operations, marketing and finance teams to ensure seamless onboarding and delivery of services for new clients
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports and market insights to the management team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales or account management, preferably in the commercial cleaning or facilities management sector
  • Strong understanding of the commercial cleaning industry, including operational challenges and client expectations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • A valid driving license and willingness to travel as required
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales
