Role Summary
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities while nurturing a robust sales pipeline. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by building strong relationships, understanding client needs, and delivering tailored financial solutions. This role is ideal for someone with a strategic mindset, a passion for sales, and deep industry insight.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Acquisition: Proactively identify and engage prospective clients across target markets to drive new business.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Develop, maintain, and nurture a healthy pipeline of qualified leads through consistent follow-up and relationship-building.
- Client Relationship Development: Establish trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their objectives and aligning solutions accordingly.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to inform business strategy.
- Proposal & Pitch Preparation: Lead the development of compelling proposals, presentations, and responses to RFPs to secure new opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and service delivery teams to ensure alignment and support go-to-market strategies.
- Sales Reporting: Track and report on sales metrics, pipeline status, and performance against targets using CRM tools and dashboards.
Key Requirements
- Proven track record in business development or sales within the financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of financial products and services, and ability to translate complex solutions into client value.
- Demonstrated success in managing end-to-end sales cycles and consistently achieving or exceeding targets.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
- Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
