Business Development Manager - London (Fixed Term Contract)
Are you an enthusiastic Business Development professional looking to make a significant impact in the world of law? Our client is recruiting a dynamic individual to join their Business Development and Marketing department in their London office on a fixed-term contract.
About the Role: The Business Development Manager will work across transactional and contentious teams, providing pitch support and advancing strategic business plans. Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Initiatives: Developing and supporting the implementation of BD&M business plans and budgets for assigned teams.
- Client Development: Supporting client team initiatives and advancing objectives outlined in strategic business plans.
- Pitching: Leading and managing responses to RFPs, pitches, presentations, and other opportunities.
- Marketing Campaigns: Developing thought leadership and marketing campaigns to raise the profile of the industry group.
- Event Management: Managing initiatives related to seminars, sponsorships, webinars, and other events.
- Reporting: Preparing reports on clients, markets, trends, and developments.
- Internal Communication: Managing regular communications and interactions with assigned teams.

Technical Skills:
- Educated to a degree level or equivalent.
- Experience in marketing, management, and/or communications-related fields, preferably in professional services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and familiarity with research techniques and databases.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a diverse team environment and support the demanding needs of the firm.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Solid strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Self-starter with a high level of initiative.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Experience with operational budget management and reporting is desirable but not essential.
