Our client, a prominent player in the rail industry, is seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Contracts Manager - Franchise Strategy Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is situated in Canary Wharf with a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities:- Overseeing franchise obligations and ensuring compliance throughout the contractual period.
- Managing risk registers and implementing effective risk management strategies.
- Leading commercial negotiations and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Identifying and mitigating potential penalties by ensuring timely and effective fulfilment of contractual obligations.
- Collaborating with teams to manage and deliver complex projects within the rail or bus industries.
- Evaluating contract performance and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Providing insightful commercial and project management expertise.
- Preparing and presenting detailed reports on contract status, risks, and financial performance.
- Experience as a Contracts Manager or Commercial Manager within the procurement and supply chain sectors, especially in rail or bus industries.
- Understanding of franchise management and compliance, particularly within the TFL or bus operator framework.
- Impressive commercial acumen coupled with strong project management skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting contracts to ensure precise execution.
- Solid risk management capabilities, including ownership of risk registers.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment, with a willingness to embrace change.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Flexible working hours with core hours from 9 to 5, accommodating a demanding yet rewarding schedule.
