Our client, a leading investment management firm is currently seeking a professional Intermediary Relationship Manager join their London office. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly renowned organisation in the investment management sector.

This role will suit an individual with previous sales experience either face to face or over the telephone, ideally within a financial services environment.

Predominantly based in the London office, the role of the Intermediary Relationship Manager is to establish and grow relationships with financial adviser firms, which in turn will create opportunities to sell the firms proposition. Interaction with advisers will be carried out using a combination of the telephone and Microsoft Teams.

Candidates should have experience in the Financial Planning or Investment Management market, albeit not necessarily sales within these markets.

Purpose

  • To establish opportunities for the firms proposition, working in conjunction with the BDM's.

Responsibilities

  • Work with BDM's to agree a panel of accounts they will own and be responsible for business development from.
  • Lead new business development with this panel.
  • Frontline for all company products.
  • Manage retention and upsell to an agreed list of existing key accounts.

Business Development Skills Required

  • Commercial awareness in order to build credibility with IFAs
  • Relationship building skills in order to rapidly establish a high level of trust with individuals, both in terms of personal competence and trustworthiness. Questioning and listening skills which are focused and empathic in order to fully understand the individuals’ true understanding, views and feelings.
