Regional Sales Leader

Location: South East

Package: £Negotiable + Car Allowance + Benefits

As we align Brown & Brown Underwriting to a common set of principles and looking to appoint a Regional Sales Leader to support our distribution partners across the South East of England.

This role reports directly to the Head of Sales and Distribution to ensure decisions can be made efficiently and you can deliver across all Underwriting programs, including strategy & appetite.

You'll play a key part in our ongoing growth which over the last 12 months has been significant across our highly varied product ranges.

The day-to-day:

  • Manage a specific geographical panel of distribution partners.
  • Achieve budgeted income objectives for your broker panel.
  • Develop a strategic, multi layered relationships across all allocated distribution partners.
  • Understand business objectives & strategies for your accounts to align our proposition and deliver profitable growth.
  • Ensure that you and your accounts have an excellent understanding of the Underwriting strategy & appetite.
  • Understand, challenge and contribute towards delivering the broker strategy and plans. Introduce and promote solutions where appropriate to support this.
  • To develop and implement a meeting strategy with brokers that includes face to face and virtual engagement.
  • Develop a stakeholder engagement strategy with teammates across all area's both internally and externally
  • Maintain knowledge of, and build strategies to meet changing market conditions, including emerging risk
  • Build a pipeline of opportunities to build long-term growth potential.
  • Support the management, compliance and governance teams where necessary.
  • Work at all times with the interests of Customers, Distributors and Underwriting teammates at all times.
  • Work within agreed areas of expertise, and drafting in specialist support when needed.
  • Working consultatively to understand the Brokers needs and Underwriting appetite.
  • Implement MI and reporting to track the financial performance of the region and ensure financial performance is in line with or exceeds budget.

About you; Skills and Understanding:

  • Comprehensive understanding of general insurance
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Analytical capability, and able to form recommendations based on data and dialogue.
  • Ability to understand, decipher and where necessary, challenge statistics.
  • Commercially savvy - able to evaluate what will work financially and what will not.
  • Ability to interrogate and interpret data/reports from a wide variety of sources.
  • Highly motivated and well organised, with strong problem solving and decision-making capability.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing clearly and concisely
