We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join their expanding team and play a pivotal role in shaping contractual frameworks that support groundbreaking research collaborations.



The Role

This is a key position within a fast-paced, dynamic environment, responsible for managing complex contracts across academic, public sector, and commercial partners. You'll work closely with senior leaders, research teams, and external stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and smooth delivery of strategic projects.



Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts including research, funding, licensing, and collaboration agreements.
  • Build strong working relationships with partner organisations, ensuring seamless contract delivery.
  • Provide expert legal and commercial guidance to internal teams.
  • Develop and maintain contract templates and standardised documentation to drive efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, funding conditions, and intellectual property frameworks.
  • Lead and contribute to continuous improvement of contract management processes.


About You

  • Significant experience in contract management, ideally within the research, education, healthcare, or public sector.
  • Strong understanding of IP, licensing, and commercial agreements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrix environment.
  • Degree-qualified (Law or similar field) or equivalent experience.
  • Confident communicator, proactive, and solutions-focused.
