Join a dedicated team as a Team Leader, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of a residential home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards. Day-to-day of the role:- Lead and plan shifts, demonstrating professional practice while supporting and developing staff.
- Ensure effective communication during handovers and maintain rigorous adherence to safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
- Keep meticulous records in line with our policies and procedures.
- Ensure the individual needs of young people are met, closely following their care plans and risk assessments.
- Maintain a clean, safe, stimulating, and homely environment for the young people.
- Develop and sustain professional relationships with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Advocate for young people at professional meetings.
- Cater to the specific needs of young people, including dietary, religious, and cultural considerations.
- Conduct internal audits as directed by management to ensure compliance and practice development.
- Lead team meetings and contribute to training initiatives.
- Comply with all regulatory standards and stay updated with professional training and development.
- At least 2 years of experience in an Ofsted-regulated Residential Children's Home.
- At least one year of experience supervising Residential Child Care Workers (RCCWs).
- Must possess the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Children's Care and be willing to undertake the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
- Ability to undertake at least one sleep-in shift per week and some late shifts starting from 14:00.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
