Full-Time Nursery Practitioner – Forest Hill, South East London
Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Ad hoc basis

TeacherActive is seeking caring and dedicated Nursery Practitioners to join a warm and welcoming nursery in Forest Hill, South East London. This full-time, permanent role offers the chance to work in a supportive setting where your passion for early years education can truly make a difference.

About the Role:

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be an essential part of the team, working closely with children aged 0–5 years to support their learning and development through play and structured activities. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children’s emotional, physical, and intellectual development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework

  • Assisting with planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and social skills

  • Providing a safe, clean, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and confidence

  • Observing and recording children’s progress and sharing insights with senior staff and parents

  • Helping with daily routines such as mealtimes, toileting, and rest periods with sensitivity and care

  • Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure consistent and effective care and learning experiences

  • Supporting the nursery’s safeguarding policies and maintaining high standards of health and safety

Requirements:

  • Commitment to full-time hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply

  • Able to provide 2 professional references
