Civil Site Engineer - Water Capital Delivery

We are looking for an experienced Civil Site Engineer to join a growing delivery team working across key water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Based within the London area, you will support the delivery of major capital programmes focused on improving resilience, protecting the environment, and securing the future of essential water services.
As a Civil Site Engineer, you will play a vital role in the accurate and timely delivery of engineering data to support the design, construction, and successful handover of water infrastructure projects.
You will work closely with the delivery and project management teams, ensuring works are completed to specification, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Manage and control site drawings, ensuring all revisions are properly updated and recorded.
- Carry out feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations.
- Support setting out works for pipelines, structures, and trenchless (no-dig) techniques using GPS, LEICA Robotic Total Stations, and Digital Levels.
- Identify commercial issues, raising EWNs and TQs where required.
- Undertake as-built surveys and perform on-site materials testing (e.g., concrete, fill testing).
- Conduct material reconciliations and ensure subcontractors' works are compliant.
- Assist in the coordination of construction activities on site.
- Support project handover, including the preparation of handover documentation.
- Maintain strong site records and reporting to support project control.
About You:
- Previous experience in the water industry is essential, particularly with mini package pumping stations, surveys, design, and as-built management.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to set out works using GPS, LEICA Total Stations, and Digital Levels.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- SMSTS Certification.
- CSCS Card.
- Appointed Person for Lifting Operations (desirable).
- Temporary Works Coordinator qualification (desirable).
- Full clean driving licence.
