Introduction
Our client, a leading consultancy within the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) sector, is looking for a Civil Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team on a contract basis.
You'll play a key role in designing and delivering critical infrastructure that supports the UK's power network helping shape the transition to a more resilient, low-carbon energy future.

What will I be doing?
In this role, you'll be responsible for the design, analysis, and delivery of civil and structural elements within T&D projects. Some of your key activities will include:
Designing, analysing, and reviewing structural components across T&D infrastructure projects.
Conducting site assessments and ensuring full compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Preparing and reviewing technical reports, design calculations, and drawings.
Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Providing technical support during the construction phase, including responding to RFIs.
Monitoring project progress to ensure delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
Staying up to date with industry standards, technologies, and best practices.
Participating in meetings and offering expert technical advice throughout the project lifecycle.
What do I need to succeed?
You'll be a qualified engineer with a strong background in civil and structural design within the Transmission and Distribution sector. You'll also bring:
Proven experience in civil/structural engineering for T&D or related infrastructure projects.
In-depth understanding of engineering principles, industry standards, and design codes.
Proficiency with structural analysis and design software tools.
Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
