- Evaluating and processing planning and highway development applications
- Ensuring compliance with relevant highway legislation, policies, and standards
- Conducting site visits to assess proposed development impacts on the highway network
- Providing technical advice and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
- Reviewing and approving highway designs and transport assessments
- Managing and coordinating responses to consultations regarding development proposals
- Liaising with developers, consultants, and other relevant parties to resolve development control issues
- Monitoring and ensuring the implementation of development-related highway agreements
Job Requirements:
- Experience in highways development control or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of highway design standards and relevant legislation
- Ability to review and assess planning applications and transport assessments
- Proficiency in conducting site visits and preparing technical reports
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
- Relevant engineering or planning degree or equivalent qualification
