About the Role

Our client, a leading mechanical and electrical contractor, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to take full ownership of mechanical services delivery on key projects. Working alongside the Electrical Project Manager, this role is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and handover of mechanical works, ensuring quality, safety, and commercial targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all mechanical aspects of the project from pre-construction to commissioning.

  • Develop project plans, programmes, and resource schedules.

  • Manage subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers to deliver on time and within budget.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality standards, and technical specifications.

  • Oversee procurement schedules and coordinate material deliveries.

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal departments to ensure clear communication and alignment.

  • Support financial tracking, valuations, and final accounts with commercial teams.

  • Drive risk management, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.

  • Prepare and deliver commissioning plans, documentation, and client training.

  • Ensure accurate project reporting and maintain all required records.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing mechanical services on complex construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, installation, testing, and commissioning.

  • Excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills.

  • Understanding of industry regulations, H&S legislation, and quality standards.

  • Commercial awareness and experience working with Quantity Surveyors.

  • Ability to lead teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
