Our client is a privately owned; leading healthcare technology company with over 20 years in the industry. They provide new modular medical spaces, mobile theatres and building service installation/ maintenance works to live clinical environments across the UK.
The Project
As an experienced and dynamic Mechanical Project Manager, you will lead the Mechanical package on a 30m new build hospital extension in South West London. You will play a crucial role in the successful completion of the project and will interact with both construction professionals and the client whilst managing a high pressure and busy environment.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
- CSCS Card
- SMSTS
It is also essential that you hold the experience below;
- Strong history of working as a Mechanical Manager, or in a similar position, on new build projects in the healthcare sector with values in excess of 10m
- Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of in-depth experience in managing MEP teams across various sectors/projects

Duties
- Chairing regular meetings
- Communicate regularly with clients
- Evaluate and approve MEP drawings and specifications
- Oversee the procurement process for MEP materials and equipment
- Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects
- Supervise and manage project timelines to ensure on-time project delivery
- Monitor project budgets and adjust resources to stay within financial limits
- Maintaining relationships with MEP subcontractors, suppliers and vendors
- Liaise with stakeholders and sub-contractors, addressing concerns where necessary
- Communicate updates on project milestones and any issues or delays that may arise
- Prepare cost estimates for MEPH systems, including material, labor, and equipment costs
- Assist the smooth handover of completed MEP systems to clients upon project completion
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
- Identify and resolve challenges that may arise during the planning, design, and construction phases
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with MEP installations and construction projects
- Ensure that all MEPH systems comply with building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards
- Oversee and carry out health and safety protocols on the construction site, ensuring a safe working environment
- Review designs and specifications to ensure that MEPH systems are aligned with project goals and requirements
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that MEPH systems are installed and maintained according to industry standards and best practices
- Provide training and guidance to ensure team members are knowledgeable about the latest MEPH technologies and safety practices
