Offshore Wind Structural Engineer with Mandarin.

Our client is currently seeking talented Engineer who is fluent in Mandarin to join their team and support them with a new Offshore Wind project. Location: UK or EU.

Will need to have some structural engineering experience in offshore wind structures and be fluent in Mandarin.

Role

You will assist with technical input on foundations during full lifecycle of development and operations - Managing Offshore Wind Foundation Design Contracts.

Client facing role working across Engineering, Construction and Procurement

  • Writing / reviewing / improving Employer’s Technical and Engineering Requirements
  • Review of bidders’ technical offers
  • Involvement in technical clarifications
  • Assist Design development clarifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Engineering experience for the Offshore Wind sector.
  • Fluent in Mandarin.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering or similar.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience in Design Engineering of Monopiles or Jackets.
  • Experience working with developer / EPCI contractor on Offshore structures
  • Design of Primary or Secondary Steel for Offshore Wind.
  • Transportation & Installation for OWF &/ Fabrication &/ Construction.
  • Loads Analysis, specifically offshore loading and dynamics of offshore wind turbine foundations.
  • Experience in Owner’s Engineering, Package Management, Engineering Management or Contract Management.
  • Certifications from agencies like DNV-GL, Lloyds Register, Bureau Veritas, etc.
  • Offshore Wind Foundation design practices and developments

NB: please note it is essential to be fluent Chinese speaker. And have some offshorewind engineering experience.
