Sandberg has a vacancy for an Inspector within our Building Inspection and Investigation Department. The work would involve undertaking non-destructive testing (NDT), inspection, sampling and testing work on a range of buildings and other structures. You would be working in a small but very busy team in our firm of consulting engineers.

Prior experience in undertaking testing and/or inspection would be an advantage as would prior experience working on construction sites. It would also be ideal if you are computer literate with a good standard of written English in order to assist with reporting. Site to office-based split may vary depending on individual skills but a substantial amount of time would be site-based. Site works would typically be in the London area, but work across the UK is frequently undertaken, some night and weekend working is also required from time to time.

CSCS, IPAD, PASMA, confined space training etc. would be an advantage as would IRATA certification.

It is essential that you have a driving licence valid in the UK and would be able to drive a company van when required.
