About the Opportunity:
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading international construction consultancy seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) to join their London team.

Our client is an established and highly respected name within the property and construction sector, with a strong track record delivering high-value projects (£6m+) across Hospitality, Commercial, Residential, and Education markets.

This role offers a unique opportunity for a commercially minded surveyor who is looking to take the next step towards leadership — with a clear pathway to becoming Head of Building Surveying within a growing and high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver professional building surveying services including technical due diligence, condition surveys, defect analysis, and project monitoring
  • Lead refurbishment and new build projects across commercial, residential, and hospitality portfolios
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing strategic advice and ensuring service excellence
  • Support business development initiatives — leveraging client relationships and identifying growth opportunities
  • Mentor junior surveyors and contribute to the development of a dynamic, expanding team
  • Work closely with senior leadership on shaping the future direction of the Building Surveying service line

Candidate Profile:

  • MRICS qualified (essential)
  • Degree (BSc or MSc) in Building Surveying (RICS accredited)
  • Strong technical expertise across all core building surveying disciplines
  • Proven experience managing large-scale (£6m+) commercial or mixed-use property projects
  • Commercially aware with a client-focused mindset and a drive to deliver results
  • Previous experience in a consultancy environment (preferred)
  • Ambitious with leadership aspirations and the ability to contribute strategically to a growing business
