Fire and Security Engineer
Location: Reading | Full-Time
Salary: 38,000 - 45,000 (Depending on Experience)
We're working with a growing, reputable fire and security company that's on the lookout for an experienced Fire and Security Engineer to join their team in Reading. This is a great opportunity for someone confident in both installation and servicing, who enjoys variety in their day and working with a supportive team.
What You'll Be Doing:
Installations & Servicing
Install, service, and maintain a range of systems: Fire Alarms, CCTV, Intruder Alarms, and Access Control.
Carry out fault-finding and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to clients.
Commissioning & Compliance
Commission systems and make sure everything's running in line with industry standards and regulations.
Keep accurate service reports, timesheets, and maintenance records.
Customer Service
Communicate confidently with customers, giving advice on system use and maintenance.
Build strong, lasting relationships with clients, always representing the company in a professional manner.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience with fire and security systems - both install and maintenance.
Confident working with intruder alarms, CCTV, fire alarms, and access control.
Good understanding of British Standards and fire safety regulations.
Full UK driving licence.
A proactive, positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working to deadlines and solving problems on the go.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
Experience with Galaxy and various fire alarm systems.
CSCS/ECS card.
IPAF/PASMA qualifications.
