An established and growing fire consultancy is seeking a professional Fire Risk Assessor to carry out comprehensive risk assessments across a variety of sectors throughout the South of England.
This is a mobile role suited to a Fire Risk Assessor who enjoys autonomy, client engagement, and a broad project base including residential, commercial, and public buildings.
The Fire Risk Assessor's Role
The successful Fire Risk Assessor will be responsible for completing Type 1-4 Fire Risk Assessments, providing detailed reports and practical recommendations that help clients meet their legal obligations under the Fire Safety Order 2005 and Building Safety Act.
This role suits a proactive Fire Risk Assessor with strong technical skills and the ability to confidently communicate with clients, contractors, and compliance teams. The work will be spread across sites in the South, with flexibility on home-based report writing and scheduling.
The Fire Risk Assessor
Minimum Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment qualification (e.g. FPA, IFSM, IFE recognised)
At least 2 years of experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments
Knowledge of PAS 79, BS 9997, and relevant fire legislation
Full UK driving licence - travel across the South is essential
Strong written communication and report writing skills
Membership with IFE or IFSM (or working towards)
