Overview of the role
We are seeking an experienced Highways Inspector to join our Local Authority client on a short-term secondment. This role is critical in ensuring our statutory duties are met by carrying out routine inspections and responding promptly to reported issues across the borough.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Complete routine inspections of highways, footways, street furniture, and other highway assets at required intervals.
- Identify and report defects or issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Attend sites to assess reported faults on council-managed and privately-owned assets.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on highways and street work to colleagues, supporting risk identification and decision-making.
