Your New Role

As a Highway Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in monitoring the condition of roads and pathways, identifying potential issues, and ensuring that maintenance and construction works are executed to the highest standards. You will work closely with our teams to promote safety and enhance the quality of our transportation network.

The Day to Day

  • Conduct regular inspections of highways, roads, and pathways to identify defects, hazards, and maintenance needs.
  • Assess the quality of work performed by construction and maintenance teams, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Document findings and prepare detailed reports, including photographs and recommendations for repairs or improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address identified issues and implement solutions.
  • Monitor traffic patterns and conditions to inform future maintenance and improvement projects.
  • Respond to public inquiries and complaints regarding road conditions and safety concerns.
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in highway maintenance and inspection.

About You

  • Previous experience in highway inspection, civil engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of highway maintenance practices, safety regulations, and construction standards.
  • Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and technology, including GPS and reporting software.
  • Active lifestyle! This is a role where you will be walking or cycling the streets of Westminster.
