This firm is involved in some of the most technically challenging and high-profile infrastructure projects across the UK, blending cutting-edge technology with deep engineering expertise to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions.

? The Opportunity:
With a solid pipeline of work from blue-chip clients, this team is now seeking a skilled bridge engineer who can help elevate their offering even further. Whether you're already chartered or approaching that milestone, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow your influence and take on a leadership trajectory.

? Key Responsibilities:
You'll be working as part of a collaborative team of engineers and technical specialists. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Leading bridge design from feasibility and concept through to detailed design
  • Conducting inspections and structural assessments
  • Overseeing and performing design checks and calculations
  • Producing technical reports, risk assessments, and cost estimates
  • Supervising and mentoring junior engineers
  • Coordinating with CAD/BIM technicians on technical drawings and models
  • Undertaking occasional site visits to support project delivery

? What We're Looking For:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent)
  • Chartered Engineer status (ICE or IStructE), or close to achieving this
  • Solid understanding of DMRB, MCDHW, and Eurocodes as they apply to bridge and civil structure design
  • Experience with steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete structures
  • Familiarity with design software such as Midas, LUSAS, Autodesk Structural Bridge Design
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
