We're looking for a skilled and experienced Groundworker with a strong background in drainage to join our team on a dynamic construction project in Dalston, North London.

About the Role:

You'll be a vital part of our groundworks team, primarily responsible for all aspects of drainage installation and maintenance, as well as general groundworks duties. This is a hands-on role requiring a keen eye for detail and a commitment to health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of foul and storm drainage systems

  • Connecting to existing drainage networks

  • Excavation, backfilling, and compaction

  • Laying pipes and fittings to required specifications

  • Carrying out drainage repairs and maintenance

  • Operating various plant and machinery safely (e.g., excavators, dumpers - relevant tickets essential)

  • General groundworks tasks, including concreting, kerb laying, and paving

  • Adhering to all site health and safety regulations

  • Working effectively as part of a team

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Groundworker, with significant expertise in drainage

  • Valid CSCS Card (essential)

  • Relevant plant operator tickets (e.g., CPCS/NPORS for 360 excavator, dumper) are highly desirable

  • Strong understanding of drainage systems and construction techniques

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A strong work ethic and commitment to deadlines

  • Understanding of health and safety practices on a construction site
