Our client is seeking a Cloud Architect to join their dynamic team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading bank, playing a pivotal role in shaping technical solutions and driving cloud engineering excellence. The successful candidate will enjoy a hybrid working pattern, with at least two days per week spent at the office site. With a competitive salary range of £100,000 - 125,000, this role offers the chance to be part of an organisation that values its employees and is committed to their professional growth.
What you'll do:
As a Cloud Architect, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client's strategic vision. You will lead efforts to create, build, support and improve cloud solutions, working closely with product and engineering teams. Your broad and deep technical experience will be invaluable as you navigate varying circumstances and continuously learn about new technologies. Your commitment to quality and engineering excellence will ensure that good practices are followed in line with the company's transformation strategy.
* Lead, direct and shape approaches to solving technical challenges* Translate solution requirements into robust cloud solutions* Work collaboratively with product and engineering teams to improve cloud solutions* Ensure good quality and engineering practices are followed in accordance with transformation strategy* Continuously learn about technology and understand how things work* Influence positively by demonstrating the right values and behaviours
What you bring:
The ideal Cloud Architect will bring a wealth of technical experience to the role. Your strong knowledge of cloud architecture and hosting patterns will be key in developing robust cloud solutions. Your understanding of microservices, containerisation and data architectures will enable you to drive engineering excellence. Experience with data technologies such as SQL/NoSQL and Big Data is essential. Knowledge of ML/AI and data capabilities in GCP would be highly advantageous.
* Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, hosting patterns & services (especially GCP)* Understanding of microservices, containerisation, cloud native, data architectures and event-driven design concepts* Knowledge of API standards, security, networking, ingress/egress patterns & FinOps* Experience with data technologies - SQL/NoSQL, Big Data* Experience working with enterprise-wide cloud patterns - networks, security, ingress/egress* Knowledge of ML/AI and data capabilities in GCP
