My client are a highly successful and long established car parts distributor, with a rich history within the UK. They are looking for a driven, Field based Business Development Executive to join their team and spearhead growth across new and existing customer accounts. This is a hands-on sales role where you’ll identify opportunities, build strong client relationships, and deliver against ambitious targets.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive new business by researching prospects, arranging meetings, and converting opportunities into active customers.
  • Grow and retain existing accounts through regular visits, tailored offers, and proactive communication.
  • Promote and educate clients on one of their unique products, highlighting its safety and compliance benefits.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets, providing accurate forecasts and reporting on performance.
  • Represent the brand with professionalism and act as a trusted partner to customers.

What we’re looking for

  • Someone with previous experience of working within the Automotive sector; this can be a sales role within car parts, or even someone from a mechanic background looking to transition into sales.
  • Proven success in sales or business development with a track record of hitting targets.
  • Strong customer relationship management and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to analyse markets and competitors.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to juggle multiple accounts.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, CRM systems, and sales reporting tools.
