Our Client is based in the UK and Europe offering customer-centric and seller-centric Cross-Border Logistics Solutions ensuring alignment with global objectives and industry trends.

Our Client is looking for an Entrepreneurial Commercial Director to formulate and execute a Sales Strategy for their expansion and Sales plans.

You will be a Hands-on Leader of Sales teams and New Business Generation, whilst nurturing and developing relationships within Clients and providing a world class service.

The Role

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives, focusing on achieving tangible results in market share and revenue.
  • Performance Management: Set clear performance goals and KPIs for the commercial team, regularly monitoring progress to ensure targets are met.
  • Business Development: Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities that contribute directly to bottom-line growth.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a broad team of commercial employees, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor industry developments and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making and stay ahead in the market.
  • Financial Oversight: Oversee commercial budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring that revenue and profitability targets are achieved.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, finance, compliance, and other departments to align efforts and optimize overall company performance.
  • Innovation: Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and result in measurable business gains.
  • Determining a strategic commercial plan and translating it into an ambitious and strategic feasible long-term plans and annual goals.
  • Ensuring that plans are converted into concrete actions (execution power).
  • P&L responsible, responsible for the existing customer base through account management (upsell/cross sell) and the entire new customer sales cycle (from lead to close)
  • Managing the commercial team (business development, inside sales & customer service): continuously coaches, develops and optimizes the team.
  • Identify market developments together with the team and translate them to business opportunities.
