About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Manager to lead and oversee the commercial function across multiple high-profile M&E projects in London. This is a full-time, office-based role responsible for managing a team of 5–6 Quantity Surveyors and ensuring commercial success across a diverse portfolio of commercial developments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight.
Oversee the commercial aspects of multiple M&E projects, ensuring profitability, cost control, and contractual compliance.
Administer and manage contracts in accordance with JCT forms of contract, ensuring all obligations are met.
Prepare and review cost plans, budgets, valuations, and final accounts.
Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities across projects.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of commercial performance to senior management.
Support the tendering process, including subcontractor procurement and contract negotiation.
Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes and team development.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the M&E or construction sector.
Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial management best practices.
Demonstrated experience managing a team of Quantity Surveyors across multiple projects.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Strong analytical and financial acumen.
Proficient in relevant software (e.g., Excel, project management tools, estimating software).
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
