This role will see you delivering a wide range of building surveying services across London, the Home Counties, and Oxfordshire. You will play a key role in client delivery, technical advice, and project oversight, while working as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.

Senior Building Surveyor - Salary & Benefits

  • Salary 50,000 - 75,000 (dependent on experience)
  • 23 days holiday (rising to 25 days for Chartered staff)

  • Hybrid working (minimum 2 days in the office per week)

Senior Building Surveyor - Job Overview

  • Undertaking building condition surveys, defect diagnosis, and feasibility studies.
  • Preparing specifications, schedules of work, and contract documentation.
  • Overseeing tendering, contract administration, and project management duties.
  • Advising clients on statutory compliance, including planning, building regulations, and health & safety.
  • Supporting junior team members, including APC candidates, with training and mentoring.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring successful delivery across projects.

Senior Building Surveyor - Job Requirements

  • Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
  • MRICS qualification preferred; candidates close to final APC assessment will also be considered.
  • 5+ years' experience within building surveying (consultancy/private practice desirable).
  • Proven track record delivering both professional services and project-led work.
  • Strong technical knowledge and up-to-date understanding of building regulations.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within London, the South East, and Home Counties.
