- Set up and operate CNC turning machines (Mazak experience beneficial but not essential)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job
- Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments for accuracy and quality
- Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as callipers, micrometres, and CMMs
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety standards
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve processes and production efficiency
- Adhere to production schedules and meet delivery deadlines
- Minimum 1 year experience in a CNC machining or similar precision engineering role (preferred)
- Strong understanding of machining processes and techniques
- Competency in reading engineering drawings and using measurement tools
- Familiarity with tooling setup and maintenance
- Knowledge of Mazatrol or other CNC programming languages is desirable
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 15:48
- 39 hours per week
- Includes a half-hour lunch break and two 15-minute tea breaks (morning and afternoon)
- Competitive hourly rate: £15.00 – £18.00 depending on experience
