Ridgeway & Co are working with a Tier 1 Main Contractor in their search for an experienced Estimator to join their pre-construction team in London. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale, high-value projects while developing your career within a leading contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for large-scale construction projects

  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and other tender documentation to produce competitive bids

  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations and assess value

  • Work closely with pre-construction and commercial teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in submissions

  • Contribute to risk analysis and value engineering opportunities

  • Present estimates and reports to senior management

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator with a Tier 1 main contractor

  • Strong knowledge of cost planning and tendering processes

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents

  • Excellent commercial and numerical skills with strong attention to detail

  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or Construction Management
