A prominent housing association with operations in Wembley and Southgate is seeking an experienced Repairs Supervisor to assist with their disrepair workstreams. This is a critical role requiring a candidate with exceptional knowledge of housing repairs and disrepair. The position is a six-month contract with a competitive hourly rate, ideal for a dedicated professional looking to make a significant impact in a short period.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee and coordinate the repair workstreams, ensuring all activities comply with industry standards and organisational policies.
- Supervise repair teams, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and efficiency.
- Conduct site inspections to assess the quality of repairs and identify any instances of disrepair.
- Liaise with contractors, tenants, and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations and effective communication.
- Manage and monitor repair schedules, ensuring timely completion of work and adherence to set budgets.
- Provide technical expertise and advice on housing repairs and disrepair matters.
- Prepare and present reports on the progress and outcomes of repair projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Repairs Supervisor within the housing sector.
- Excellent knowledge of housing repairs and disrepair processes.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Proficient in planning, organising, and prioritising workloads.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Relevant qualifications in building, construction, or a related field are desirable.
