Our client, a leading provider in the rail sector, is currently seeking a Construction Manager to join their team on a long-term contract basis, working on the London Underground infrastructure in Central London. This is a civils-focused role, offering the opportunity to work across various locations on the LU network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing site works relating to civils, concrete works, scaffolding, and bases
- Ensuring all construction activities comply with London Underground standards and competencies
- Coordinating and overseeing subcontractors and workforces
- Monitoring project progress and addressing any issues promptly
- Ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are maintained on site
- Reporting on project status to senior management
- Implementing and managing CCTV systems across worksites
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in construction management within the rail sector, preferably on the London Underground
- Strong knowledge of civils works, including scaffolding and concrete structures
- Understanding of CCTV systems used within construction sites
- Relevant LU competencies
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work across multiple worksites efficiently
