About This Role

The Senior Project Manager will oversee a diverse portfolio, ensuring a coherent and coordinated approach to building safety during a period of increasing expectations.

Day to Day of the Role

  • Manage and support a small team of Project Surveyors to deliver an annual programme of surveys, interim measures, and remedial works.
  • Take charge of challenging projects, ensuring successful outcomes for customers.
  • Provide support to the Head of Delivery to ensure effective communication, reporting, and adherence to commercial procedures.
  • Offer technical expertise to the department, establishing regimes to manage projects and project files in a consistent and compliant manner.
  • Travel within the operational areas, including Midlands and East Anglia, to provide coverage as needed.
  • Contribute to the implementation and delivery of compliance within the changing legislative and regulatory framework.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical expertise in typical building defects and all parts forming the Building Regulations.
  • Experience in managing complex and sensitive works programmes that enhance building safety.
  • Strong contract management skills, capable of managing multiple projects and programmes simultaneously.
  • Proficient in maintaining project trackers and providing updates to stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex issues clearly to assure residents.
  • In-depth understanding of Building Regulations, Fire Safety Legislative, Regulatory requirements, and best practices.
