Our client is an established specialist contractor delivering technically challenging projects across London and Home Counties. Their core services include, demolition, cut & carve and reinforced concrete frames, they work with a variety of blue-chip clients on complex contracts.

Due to recent project wins, the business is experiencing strong growth and is now seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to support a large project in Central London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and hands-on support to ensure compliance with all statutory health and safety obligations
  • Ensure highest standards of health, safety, and welfare are maintained across all operations on site.
  • Ensure projects are delivered with health and safety as the top priority.
  • Advise senior management on all safety, health, and welfare matters to maintain compliance with statutory obligations.
  • Working closely with site and project teams, you will champion a positive safety culture.
  • Lead investigations, monitor site compliance, and promote continual improvement in health and safety performance.
  • Prepare and maintain health & safety risk assessments, ensuring safe working methods are always followed.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and accident investigations, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Liaise with clients and external stakeholders as the primary point of contact on health and safety matters.

What We're Looking For

  • Ideally 3 - 5 years' experience in a health & safety role within the demolition, civil engineering, or construction sectors.
  • NVQ Level 6 (or equivalent) in Occupational Health & Safety, or NEBOSH Diploma.
  • Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health
  • Strong knowledge of current health & safety legislation
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to challenge constructively.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
