Employing over 700 people, with a turnover of over £90 million, they have plans to grow and build on their reputation for delivering high quality foundation and ground engineering solutions.

About the job

As the HSE Advisor for this Civil Engineering and Geotechnical contractor, you will be supporting projects across the South of the UK, within Housing, Civils and Rail. You will be a motivated HSE Advisor with the ability to manage your diary, to ensure all Southern projects are supported.

  • You will be ensuring the management teams of each project are working in accordance with UK Health and Safety regulations and implementing HSE best practices in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
  • You will carry out and manage the health, safety and environmental processes, including risk assessments, method statements, internal audits and induction training
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and sharing lessons learned.
  • Attend and chair safety meetings with senior managers
  • Assist the divisions from the pre-construction stage of a project to mitigate risk and assist with all legislative compliance for all contracts undertaken
  • Ensure workplace health, safety and environmental compliance, promoting a culture of safety through risk assessments, inspections

About You

As an experienced Health & Safety Advisor within the Rail Sector, you will hold National General Certificate and / or NEBOSH Construction Certificate, with the drive to push your career forward.

Hold a valid CSCS and it is desired you hold a PTS

Salary

Basic of £45,000 plus company car or car allowance of £4,500. Hours of work are 40 per week Monday to Friday, 25 days holiday plus bank/public holidays, Company Pension scheme, Bonus Scheme, Healthcare Cash Plan with family option.
