Contract Manager

Location: West London

Salary: Up to 70,000 + benefits

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Contract Manager with strong technical expertise in M&E services, particularly with a background in HVAC, gas systems, or mechanical infrastructure. This is a fantastic opportunity to oversee the delivery of facilities maintenance services across multiple high-profile academic and research sites.



What You'll Be Doing:

  • QSHE Assurance: Fully utilise company policies and procedures to ensure a safe system of work, proactively eliminating or mitigating risk to staff and building users.

    Compliance: Implement a robust maintenance regime to provide an assured level of asset compliance, actively managing any statutory or contractual exceptions.

    Planning & Scheduling: Develop a detailed knowledge of the contract to allow for effective work scheduling and optimal allocation of technical resources to deliver required maintenance services.

    Operational Management: Ensure that all contract staff are fully conversant with business processes. Identify problematic areas through KPI/SLA performance analysis, addressing required actions promptly.

    Customer Focus: Maintain a strong customer focus in all operational activities, building and sustaining effective working relationships with the client team.

    People Management: Lead, motivate, and direct operational teams. Provide coaching, guidance, and assistance with internal matters including recruitment and disciplinary procedures.

    Finance/Commercial: Support the achievement of contract revenue and profit targets. Assist with growth plans and efforts toward cost, Work in Progress (WIP), and debt reduction.



What You'll Bring:

  • Strong technical background (desirable - level 3 minimum)

  • Proven experience managing hard FM services in a client-facing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of M&E systems, particularly HVAC or gas/mechanical services.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Experience managing CAFM systems, compliance, and contract reporting.

  • IOSH Managing Safely (or an equivalent H&S qualification).

  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship or trade background.
