We have an exciting new job opportunity for an Admin Officer to join our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice Working for WILLESDEN COUNTY COURT This is a full-time temporary role for an ongoing 3 months with a view to extending the contract further. The responsibilities of the role will include:

this court is responsible for handling appeals against decisions relating to:

  • Types of civil case dealt with in the County Court include:

    • Businesses trying to recover money they are owed;
    • Individuals seeking compensation for injuries;
    • Landowners seeking orders that will prevent trespass.
    • Personal debt

Court ushers ensure the courtroom runs smoothly by guiding court users, managing files, recording hearing times, and handling inquiries. They help maintain order and assist with the overall organization of hearings.












Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and close courtrooms, ensuring they are ready before hearings and properly arranged afterward.

  • Escort and assist court users (e.g., witnesses, defendants) to appropriate locations, maintaining a professional and supportive demeanor.

  • Announce and call legal professionals (solicitors, barristers) into the courtroom, ensuring smooth transitions.

  • Accurately record hearing start and end times for official records.

  • Handle face-to-face inquiries, offering information and assistance to the public, legal professionals, and court users.

  • Assist with swearing-in ceremonies, ensuring proper order and logistics.

  • Manage and securely handle court files, including delivery, photocopying, filing, and disposal of documents.

  • Punctual and professional, ensuring the courtroom environment runs efficiently.

  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive case information.

  • Provide excellent customer service, guiding and supporting all court users throughout their experience.

  • Stay calm under pressure, managing high-stress situations while maintaining professionalism.

Salary: £14.75 p/h (with benefits of pension scheme and holiday.

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00- 17:00

A DBS check will be needed before you can start this role, we will process this for you.
