Wise May are looking for a Credit Controller to join this busy and extremely friendly Insurance business in the City. We require someone who has Credit Control experience that is looking for a stable, busy role and enjoys the administration behind Finance.

Credit Controller duties include:

  • To chase (via the prescribed routine) and regularly monitor all Members’ accounts to ensure that Premium invoices are paid in good time and, where this is not the case, to "flag" accounts appropriately and promptly to enable the withholding of claim reimbursements or security

  • Where funds are not received when due, to maintain ongoing and effective dialogue and correspondence with Members and brokers (via the prescribed routines), keeping the Finance Manager, Underwriters and Directors (as appropriate) advised of developments, via the maintenance of an Excel spreadsheet records for outstanding Premiums and document management system

  • To develop and maintain first class relationships with Members and Brokers

  • Where details of remittances are initially unavailable, to process receipts to Members’ cash accounts ensuring that the required information is received so that all amounts are promptly cleared and correctly allocated

  • To interact with and provide assistance/guidance to the other Credit Controllers as and when required, to form an effect credit control unit

  • To interact with the other members of the finance team and other departments

  • Input and prepare expenses for settlement
