The Role: Cover Teacher

As a Cover Teacher, you will step into classrooms across different year groups and subjects, ensuring lessons continue smoothly and students remain engaged in their learning. You'll work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and school leadership to maintain high standards of education and classroom management.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons across a variety of subjects according to school timetables
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Adapt quickly to different year groups and subject areas
• Follow schemes of work and school policies for teaching and learning
• Support students' academic and pastoral needs where appropriate
• Provide feedback on lesson delivery and student progress to relevant staff

Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching secondary school students
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to respond to varied classroom situations
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A passion for helping students achieve their potential
