The Role - Year 3 Teacher (KS2)
The school is seeking a teacher with excellent behaviour management, a warm but assertive presence, and the ability to deliver engaging, well-structured lessons. Pupils respond well to teachers who create consistency, maintain pace, and combine firm expectations with an encouraging, relationship-driven approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a Year 3 class and deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stage 2
- Plan stimulating, differentiated lessons that support and challenge a range of learners
- Maintain strong classroom management and establish a calm, structured learning environment
- Work collaboratively with the KS2 team to share planning, assessment, and best practice
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
About You
- Experience teaching in KS2 / Year 3 (highly desirable)
- Strong behaviour management and the ability to set clear expectations from day one
- Skilled at forming positive, purposeful relationships quickly
- Motivated, caring, and committed to improving outcomes for all pupils
- Confident ECTs with excellent classroom management will also be considered
